Common questions

How do I adopt?

Find a dog on our adopt page and fill in the application on this site. Then we check references, have a phone chat, do a home visit and set up a meet and greet.

How do I become a foster or volunteer?

Apply on our foster or volunteer page. We'll do a phone interview, check references and meet you in person. For fostering, everyone in your home needs to be on board.

I need to surrender my dog. Who do I contact?

Please start with the questionnaire on our surrender page.

Do you have to pay to adopt?

Yes. Like every shelter and rescue, we charge an adoption fee to help cover vet care for that dog and the ones who come after. We don't profit and we don't sell dogs. See current fees.

How else can I help if I can't adopt?

Drive dogs to appointments, donate food, treats, bedding or toys, give to the rescue or directly to our vet, or help organize a fundraiser. See volunteer and donate.
